Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping surgery, is a surgical procedure designed to correct the shape, size, and structure of the nose. It may be performed to address a crooked or asymmetrical nose, a prominent nasal hump, disproportionate nostrils, deformities resulting from trauma, or to revise the shape of a previously operated nose. Before surgery, the overall anatomy of the nose and face is assessed, including the nasal profile, tip, axis, width, and the proportions between the nose and surrounding facial structures. During the procedure, the nasal cartilage and/or bone are reshaped according to the individual patient's anatomy and desired outcome. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and a specialized nasal splint is placed after surgery to support and stabilize the nose during healing."
