About the packageThis program is designed for patients who need knee joint replacement due to pain, reduced mobility, or joint deformity. It includes full diagnostic evaluation, knee replacement surgery performed by experienced specialists, and attentive postoperative care to ensure safe healing and improved daily function.
During the surgeryThe surgery is performed under general anesthesia. An incision 6 to 20 cm long is made on the front of the knee. The worn joint surfaces are removed and mechanical implants - a prosthetic joint - are implanted in their place. The operation usually lasts about 2 hours.
After surgeryAfter the surgery, the patient is transferred to the intensive care unit for several hours of observation, after which treatment continues in the inpatient ward. Typically, after this operation the patient stays in the hospital for about 3 days. Physiotherapy is initiated in the hospital and usually continues for 6–12 weeks after discharge.
