About the packageDuring the procedure, the gynecologist inserts a thin hysteroscope—an instrument similar to a telescope—into the uterus through the cervix. This allows visualization of the cervical canal, the entire uterine cavity, and any abnormalities present, such as thickened endometrium, polyps, fibroids, uterine septa, adhesions resulting from previous uterine procedures, as well as evaluation of the tubal openings and the shape of the uterus.
