About the packageThis program is designed for patients who need hip joint replacement due to pain, reduced mobility, or joint deformity. It includes full diagnostic evaluation, knee replacement surgery performed by experienced specialists, and attentive postoperative care to ensure safe healing and improved daily function.
During the surgeryThe operation is performed under general anesthesia. During the surgery, an incision is made in the hip and thigh area (20 to 30 cm in length). Depending on the surgical technique, the incision may be smaller. The upper part of the femur is removed and replaced with a prosthetic stem with a head, an artificial acetabulum is inserted, and the artificial femoral component is fixed into the acetabulum. The surgical wound is closed with special sutures. The operation usually takes about 2 hours.
After surgeryAfter the surgery, the patient is transferred to the intensive care unit for observation for a few hours, and then treatment continues in the hospital ward. Typically, after this surgery, the patient stays in the hospital for about 3 days. Physiotherapy is started while the patient is in the hospital and usually continues for 6–12 weeks after discharge.
