About the packageDuring arthroscopic elbow surgery, degenerative loose fragments of damaged cartilage are removed, excess synovial tissue is excised, loose bodies are taken out, excess bony growths (osteophytes) are removed, and the joint capsule can be released to treat an elbow joint contracture.
During the surgeryDuring arthroscopic surgery, the elbow joint does not need to be opened and no large incision is made. Arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed through very small incisions, approximately 0.5–1 cm in length, using an arthroscope and other arthroscopic instruments. The arthroscope is a small, pencil-sized device with a video camera that is inserted into the joint; the elbow joint is inspected, evaluated, the pathology is identified, and then removed.
